As June comes to a close, we want to pause and express our heartfelt thanks to the amazing businesses, organizations, and individuals who supported the Gathering Place Mission this month. Your generosity and service have made a real impact in the lives of those we serve.

A special thank you to Texas Roadhouse for donating a delicious meal, and to the incredible women from Women in Business—Laryssa Sinkhorn McConnaughhay, Christy Derouchie Walls, Peggy Derouchie, Lynnette Cole, and Heather Johnson—alongside the Georgetown/Scott County Chamber of Commerce for coming out to serve our residents. Your kindness brought both nourishment and joy!


We’re also deeply grateful to Chicken Salad Chick of Lexington for serving 90 meals and blessing us with a generous donation. Your care and commitment to our mission did not go unnoticed!


Thank you to Commonwealth Causes for your extraordinary donation and partnership in helping us continue our mission to serve the homeless in our community.


And to every individual who showed up to serve meals with a smile and a willing heart, thank you. Your time and compassion remind our residents that they are seen, valued, and loved.

Because of your support, lives were touched, hope was restored, and community was strengthened. We are better together, and June was proof of that. Thank you for being a part of it!

On February 22, our community came together for the Coldest Night of the Year walk, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible support! Despite the chilly weather, dozens of participants joined us to raise awareness and funds for those experiencing homelessness in Georgetown, Kentucky.  A special thank you goes out to the Loyal Ladies Group, whose dedication and fundraising efforts made a tremendous impact! Their generosity and commitment to our mission helped ensure The Gathering Place can continue providing shelter, support, and hope to those in need. From all of us at The Gathering Place—thank you! Your kindness reminds us that, together, we can bring warmth and hope to our community, no matter how cold the night may be.
